If you're a GA resident, get out there and place your vote for Sen. Chambliss. We still don't know the status of Minnesota, but rest assured, putting Chambliss in office can either signal the first shot of the Conservative revolution, or possibly complete the 60 vote majority Democrats have been hoping for.

Knowing a little something about the state of Georgia, I will tell you that I'm confident in a Chambliss victory. Democrats are still high on the Obama euphoria, and they don't have much to get out and vote for. Republicans, on the other hand, can at least deflate the tires of the Obama express, slowing it down enough for us to make a few points while we get railroaded in the legislature. A filibuster-proof 60 vote majority in the Senate is simply dangerous. I believe a landslide victory by Chambliss (55-45%) will still prove to be a small victory for Conservatives on the national scale, but it will be the first of many to come.

Victory or Death, and the Defense of George W. Bush

www.offeringcommonsense.blogspot.com

During my youth, upon reading the historical accounts of the horrible treatment of our Vietnam veterans at the hands of "peace" activists, and hearing such words like "babykiller," I was both shocked and relieved. Shocked that Americans would go so far from our national heritage, and our rich traditions of self-reliance, and love of God, and pride in our nation that they would turn against the gatekeepers of our very freedoms, the freedoms it takes to be able to spew such hatred; relieved at the thought that these troubled times were so long ago...before I was even born.

As a young Senior Airman stationed at the Pentagon on 9/11, I got a front seat view to pure evil. I was shocked and relieved. Shocked at the death, devastation, and pure hatred coming from a region of the world that we had only sought to help (Afghanistan 1979, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait 1991, Kosovo 1998, etc). I was relieved that we had a courageous leader in President Bush who would stop at nothing to protect us, and allow those of us in uniform the chance to protect the nation. It was impossible to count the sheer number of American flags one would pass on any highway in this country. Patriotism was reborn, and we were as one in our struggle against the terrorists who would seek to destroy us. It is with great regret that I have come to realize that much of our supposed patriotism was due in large part to the fact that 9/11 happened during an odd-numbered year. Had it been an election year, all hell would have broken loose on the airwaves as we watched leaders squabble over who was responsible for the attacks.

President Bush initially did not show any indication of going beyond the Clinton Doctrine of treating terrorism like street crimes, only to be investigated after the fact with televised court trials. Thankfully he was just biding his time, and carefully assembling the facts. In October we struck back, and we've been striking back ever since. Not since that fateful day have we been attacked, and we owe not only a debt of gratitude to the US Military, but to President Bush. He had the courage of conviction to know that he would only be permitted the smallest of retaliatory military strikes by the world opinion polls, and by our own home-grown liberal mainstream media.

Enter Saddam Hussein. It's hardly worth mentioning that we have actually found uranium in Iraq, because liberals are already against President Bush, and therefore John McCain. This dictator won an "election" by 100% of the vote, something not seen since the first polls came out calling for Sen. Obama's victory/coronation. He was a murdering thug dictator who bombed almost every neighbor his country had (Iran, Israel, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia). Reports have shown that he WANTED us to believe that he had WMD, and he thought us cowards and nothing more than "paper tigers" (to use a terrorist term).

He thought wrong. Despite international and domestic pressure opposing crossing borders to go after not only the terrorists but their weapons, President Bush LEAD the nation. Leadership is not about polls, surveys, or news media commentary. It's about doing what's necessary and what's right for the causes of freedom and tranquility.

President Bush dealt with the financial crises, dot-com busts, corporate scandals, major terrorist attacks, and a hostile media hell-bent on Democrats taking control of government. We're safe. Most of us are employed (at a meager 95% of the country, according to media outlets, I might add), and we've weathered some of the stormiest seasons our nation has ever faced. I think it's high time some people quit criticizing the President for a dangling participle or two, and start recognizing the important issues of our time.

It's time Americans wake up and become the warriors that Bush became on 9/12/01. "A nation that can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master...and deserves one." -- Alexander Hamilton.

Drown out the sounds of "Bush lied" with the sounds of "Victory or Death!" It's that serious.

Democratic Reprisal in Obama Auntie Case!

www.offeringcommonsense.blogspot.com

This is almost unbelievable, except that it's from the Democratic party. Rep. Conyers (D-MI) is now calling for a full investigation as to who leaked the story about an illegal immigrant living in a Boston slum. This woman is here ILLEGALLY, and she IGNORED A JUDGE'S ORDER TO LEAVE for over 4 years.

Let me explain how this works. The people elect a government (legislature and executive branches). The legislature thinks crap up; that's their job, just sit there and think stuff up to become laws. Once a bill is passed (with both houses agreeing, the President signing or being overruled by a 2/3 Congressional vote, and the judicial branch finding no unconstitutional portions of the law) the executive branch EXECUTES the law. What Rep. Conyers needs to be investigating is why THE LAW WAS NOT EXECUTED!

We've seen example after example of how leftwingers and liberal elitists have tried to curb free speech. Whether it's kicking conservative commentators off of the Obama plane, attacking everyday citizens publicly on the Today Show for asking hard questions, attempting to institute a "Fairness" Doctrine that requires us to have the correct opinions, or by banning certain news stations from interviews from Great Leader and his comrades, the Democrats are on the wrong end of the Constitution. At every turn their followers (worshipers?) who faint at the mere site of Great Leader demonstrate the need to repeal the 17th Amendment.

To all of my liberal friends: You may not like the Conservative ideology, but at least you are still free to argue the point. Your comrades in training are taking us down a road to complete government control over every aspect of our lives. The Nazis didn't take over Germany with a sweeping executive order and gunfire. They did it with subtlety under the radar of public opinion. Curbing speech, reducing the right to bear arms, and blatantly attacking citizens who speak out against injustices is only the first step. The slippery slope of this ideology will come back to haunt us, if we don't take a stand now.

Does it make sense for a Congressman to want to attack a federal agent for speaking the truth? He did not slander this woman, or insinuate that Sen. Obama has performed some illegal act. He pointed out the truth that government FAILED TO EXECUTE THE LAW. Rep. Conyer's childish and blatantly political behavior represents the elite attitude of liberal ideology (i.e., the state cannot tolerate insolence from the masses).
